Mini-BBQ..

yesterday me & my friends had a little BBQ..
just a mini one..
a low budget one..
we only bbq-ed sausages..
because in Labuan..
chicken wings are so expensive..

after that we went for a cruise around the island..
looking at houses and cars we can't afford..
just for sake of it..
hehe..

my Form 6 STPM journey has come to an end..
and i'm feeling a bit sad..
and relief that it's over..

it was a tough experience though..
having to face new challenges, new environment, new people..
but overall i have managed through all of it, literally..

and honestly i will be missing some awesome people i've met along the way..
lots of them really..
and rest assure, they will always be a part of my life..

hmm, so i've been doing a little bit of flashback on my Form 6 life..
of course there were some highlights..
how could Form 6 life is without events, hehe..

Exam Time..

last Monday our STPM exam officially started..
General Studies (Pengajian Am) got underway..
hmm, fair to say, the questions were a bit tricky..
but thankfully i managed to answer all of it..
just within the 3 hour allocated..

so for my stream, we'll be having a week "holiday"..
that's because our next paper will be on the 30th..
which means that i do have time still to "eat" the Biology and Chemistry books..

and to any of my friends out there..
who are taking their own respective exams..
all the best in your conquest..

p/s: Congratulations to our SEA Games men football team, who recently defeated Indonesia (yet again!) 4-3 on penalties!

now we've started our intensive drilling..
for this week it'll be held here at Taman Damai..
a welcome break from the noisy school surroundings..

because that year is when i was at my best..
in terms of study and the subsequent results..

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the EU rather than German which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty's Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five year phase-in plan that would be known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of the "k". This should klear up konfusion and keyboards kan have 1 less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year, when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like "fotograf" 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be ekspekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkorage the removal of double letters, which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent "e"s in the language is disgraseful, and they should go away.

By the fourth year, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v". During ze fifz year, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and similar changes vud of kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.

blessed with common sense along with two arms, two legs, two eyes, two ears, a mouth, a nose with two holes and many more..
but let's focus about human personality..
what are humans actually made of?
we are made of meat and bones and etc.
plus there's the feelings and other things we cannot touch but can only feel..

humans vary in attitudes and perspectives..
so there will never be the same opinion among all of us..
and there's where the problem rises..
conflicts and disagreements tend to take over our feelings..
leading us to become "smartASSES" and "experts"

humans are born to criticize..
that's an annoying fact..
especially the ones who criticize something are the ones who don't even know how to do the thing they were criticizing..
we all have done that, don't lie to yourself..

i'll take an example..
in football, when a footballer misses a glorious opportunity when it is easier to score..
no doubt fans will start to taunt and jeer him..
but think, what if you were in his shoes?
you were that very player playing in front of huge crowds..
of cause you'll feel nervous..
and that very same feeling struck that player..
that's why he missed..
but of cause footballers are nothing without fans..

how about another example?
this time closer to home..
you keep nagging your friends about being this and that..
while you didn't think about yourself, doing the same mistakes..
thinking yourself is perfect and always correct..
that's a big mistake..

and what about saying other people are immature?
what about you?
are you mature enough?
think again, we will never get mature in everything..
and "claiming" yourself mature is a very bad thing to do..
why? because tagging yourself shows that you are selfish and ignorant..

but it may be worth it cause the Bazaar is only held once a year..

so last night, stayed up to watch the 2nd leg for the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers 2nd round..

Malaysia vs Singapore at Bukit Jalil National Stadium..
was expecting a win for Malaysia..
and they needed to overcome a 3-5 deficit..

backed by 90,000 strong fans..
creating a hostile environment for the opposition..

so okay, i'll talk about the "it is what it is" things first:
Malaysia didn't played well, midfield was nowhere, defence was shaky, strike force poorly supplied..and they did look dull, having Aidil Zafuan off halfway through the 1st half didn't help..and Safee Sali having to deal with long balls by himself..

Singapore look the livelier, with Shi Jiayi and Duric looking threatening..
defence was well organised, and they looked comfortable all the way..

BUT HERE'S THE DAMN FUCKED UP PART!
i've never seen a national football team played such coward, pussy tactics..
say Drogba or Ronaldo or Robben..
but this is even worse!!
playacting from the start, pretending to be hurt..
and the most irritating, needing a damn stretcher EVERY TIME!!
i mean what??! what do you eat? until it makes you so weak? what do you do for training? playing PS3??
i dont know what to say really..

Arsenal got their pre-season preparations underway with a 4-0 win over a Malaysian XI in Kuala Lumpur.

Aaron Ramsey drilled Arsenal ahead from the penalty spot on five minutes after Jack Wilshere had been brought down in the area.

Theo Walcott made it 2-0 before half-time when he lobbed the goalkeeper after running on to an exquisite through-ball from Ramsey.

Manager Arsene Wenger made a raft of substitutions at half-time and Carlos Vela scored the goal of the match when he lobbed onrushing Malaysia goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat just before the hour.

After Robin van Persie and Samir Nasri had been introduced, Tomas Rosicky headed in Andrey Arshavin's cross from close range to cap a dominant Gunners display.

Charlie Adam scored from the spot on his first start for the club as Liverpool saw off Malaysia All-Stars 6-3.

Adam was a lively presence in the opening exchanges and after 25 minutes played in Carroll, who went down in the area and earned the penalty. Adam had to take the spot-kick twice but sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 1-0.

Mohammad Safiq Rahim equalised with a fine free-kick five minutes from half-time. Dalglish made 11 substitutions at the break and after 68 minutes David Ngog scored following some poor defending.

Chelsea stumbled to a 1-0 win in their second pre-season friendly under Andre Villas-Boas against a Malaysian XI.

The Blues won the first match of their far east tour in Kuala Lumpur but, as in their victory at Portsmouth just over a week earlier, they were far from convincing.

And, like at Fratton Park, they needed an own goal to avoid a goalless draw in a match that saw new manager Villas-Boas again play two entirely different XIs in each half.

The winner arrived 12 minutes from time when Didier Drogba won a free-kick, which he took and smashed against the post, only for the ball to hit goalkeeper Mohd Izham Tarmizi and spin back towards the line.

The substitute thought he had retrieved the ball in time but the goal was controversially awarded.

Otherwise, Chelsea struggled against a side who conceded 10 times against recent tourists Arsenal and Liverpool.

last week, a seminar for STPM was held..
at SMK Lajau..
since it does not include Science subjects..
my class only went for Pengajian Am and MUET installments..

just an ordinary seminar..

Labuan's Botanical Garden..
maybe not as large or beautiful as others..
but it's still a decent place for jogging and walking..

a few years back a swimming pool+slide or whatever it is called was built..
and was quite a hit with the locals..
but now, sadly, it is relatively abandoned..
no water, just a bit of mud..
tadpoles and mozzy larva are thriving in the standing water..
huhu..

the tree house too is left unattended..
now it's deemed to dangerous to enter..
yeah, nothing last long especially with those vandalisers..

the hibiscus fountain is not working too, what a shame..
plus the lily pond walking platform too is nowhere..
skaters park too is not used..
but luckily the playground is well maintained..
and the flowers too..
which compensated for the disused facilities..

Lower 6 Orientation..

assalam readers..

so recently we (PERTIM) just concluded the orientation programme for the latest batch of Lower 6 students..
i didn't have pictures from Day 1 & 2 so i'll just show pics from Day 3..

Day 1
-starts with group dynamics and a bit of warm up..
-briefing about PERTIM and subsequent activities..
-parliament-style debate followed by the Four Friends..

Day 2
-1Malaysia theme, groups required to create traditional outfits using recycled material (newspapers) and then modeled it..

Day 3
-explorace, groups are required to complete a task at each (7) checkpoint located randomly around the school compound..

carry a bucket with their feet without falling over..

eating salt covered apple without touching them

tamarind juice and a few nasty snacks..

for every task unsuccessfully completed, each member will get their faces "coloured"

finally a simple closing ceremony..
btw our principle will be moving soon..
to SMK Taman Perumahan Bedaun..

overall, it was a successful programme..
on behalf of the organizers..
a BIG thank you to everyone involved..!

so, today i just went out for a simple and normal outing..
of coz Cik Nurul Fazlinda i bought along..

we went to the library..
meet Jusman there..

after a while, we went to UK (not United Kingdom)..
pick up Hiswan and Safiq along the way..
btw there's a Hari Koperasi at school..
but as we pass by, it doesn't look too exciting..

so we went straight to UK..
Kevin came along to join us..
and we had our lunch at Chicken Rice Shop..

then we went to the beach..
just to loiter for a while..
the beach near Tiara Hotel..
quite a nice view there..

after that, we went home..
so it was nothing much today..
just it was my birthday..!
and i get to spend it with my beloved friends..!!
